Our Story
In October 2023, partners Jayare and Todd formed Knot Me Good, a luxury bow tie and men’s accessories company.
Modern luxury is the inspiration behind Knot Me Good with a mission to provide the highest degree of quality. Elegance and sophistication are the focus in every meticulously crafted bow tie, ascot and pocket square. KMG brings together these amazing, hand-made collections with essential accessories that are conveniently assembled in one space.
Both Jayare and Todd were born in the early 1970s and raised in New York State. Jayare moved to Texas just before 9-11 terrorist attacks in 2001. Todd relocated to Dallas after meeting Jayare in 2008 and the two have been together ever since.
Jayare has always excelled in retail sales, succeeding in high-end, luxury clothing stores and boutiques such as Kenneth Cole, Neiman Marcus and BCBG. While he served clients over his 30+ year career, Jayare recognized the frustration they expressed in the lack of availability of men’s accessories that are cohesive with the luxury brands they wear. This served as the catalyst to the formation of Knot Me Good.
Meanwhile, Todd was pursuing his passion for sewing in the flag and banner industry starting at age 20. Before direct printing on fabric came about in the late ‘90s, soft signage was made by sewing colored fabrics together in layers to obtain a design. Todd became an expert at this technique and was quickly elevated into production management. The industry transitioned away from the labor-intensive sewn appliqué method which led Todd to learn and master the innovative, direct-to-fabric printing processes as well as the heat transfer method of dye-sublimation over the next 25 years. Todd has most recently managed quality control and materials for You Go Natural (YGN), a Dallas-based hair accessories company specializing in satin-lined headwraps. These talents and understandings in manufacturing helped take Knot Me Good from the idea stage to physical fruition.
Jayare is an avid photographer and enjoys biking and running in his spare time. Todd is a self-taught pianist with a passion for creativity and learning. Together they enjoy traveling on vacations, movies, concerts and comfortable times at home with their 13 year-old Pomeranian, Mardi.
Now, combining 65+ years of experience in their respective fields, the two bring you Knot Me Good, a vision of freshness and newness, quality and excellence in men’s accessories. With this expansive, collective knowledge, talent and dedication, Jayare and Todd look forward to garnering the trust of those who want to experience the luxury!
